HClinical Study on the Efficacy of Yanghaeⓡ (Bangpungtongseoung-san) in the Treatment of obesity

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective: This clinical study was designed to investigate the effects of Bangpungtongseoung-san extracts on the change of the weight, body compositions, serum, and symptoms in obese women.
Method: In primary check, the volunteer whose are old from 19 years to 49 wears were tested body measurement and body mass index(BMI), and we make them whose BMI is over 25 and body fat rate is over 30% an subjects of our study. In these volunteer, We make 41 persons who have the examinations that primary and secondary body measurement, BMI, questionaire and blood test, and take the medicine over one pack per a day the last subjects of this clinical study. the tests that are weights test checked by electronic scales(CAS, co. ltd. korea), BMI checked by Inbody 2.0(Biospace, co. ltd. korea), body symptoms checked by the questionaire, and blood gathering were done for the forenoon at before and 8 weeks after. And the symptoms are evaluated by five degree(0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%)
Results: The efficacy of the Bangpungtongseoung-san extracts for obese are as the following.
1. Significantly, BMI(-0.346±0.1), body weight(0.89±0.2539), body fat amount(-2.856±0.6856), body fat rate(-3.622± 0.8957), abdomen fat(-1.805±0.4108) and W/H rate(-0.022±0.0028) were decreased, but muscle amount(1.8049±0.5965) was increased.
2. Significantly, RBC(-0.225±0.0897), PLT(-13.59±5.8846), and GOT(-2±0.9316) were decreased, but HDL cholester.
3. Significantly, the symptoms of fatigue, Anepithymia, and Malacotic stool were increased, but the symptom of edema was decreased.
Conclusion: On the treatment of obesity, the Bangpungtongseoung-san extracts has an effects that decrease the body fat and increase the muscle amount. And the high stability of this extracts is expressed. Therefore we will make the possible use of the medicine for the obesity.
